Prof. Mamede de Carvalho

Mamede de Carvalho is the leader of the ALS clinic in the Medical Academic Center of Lisbon. He is a Neurologist and Clinical Neurophysiologist, Full Professor and Director of the Physiology Institute in the Faculty of Medicine (Lisbon), and Unit Leader of the Instituto de Medicina Molecular-João Lobo Antunes. He has been involved in ALS clinical work and research for more than 30 years. He is a recipient of the Norris-Forbes award for his work in ALS.
